Ribbons in the Sky Gala
Empowering our Families & Celebrating our Non Profits


This year's gala will be highlighting selected nonprofit - the G.R.O.W. Foundation, Inc.
(aka Girls Recognizing Our Worth) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Founder Ms. Neisha Himes. Their mission is to connect individuals and families affected by domestic violence with the resources needed to lead a safe and productive life free from abuse. These resources are, but not limited to: housing placement, financial assistance, daily living necessities and victim advocacy.
Hope with a Vizion Organization with the Founder, Lucien “Bowlegged Lou” George - co-star of the movie “House Party” and recording artist from the musical group, “Full Force” that provides support and to bring visually impaired individuals together with designated programs and services needed to empower their pursuit for quality of life and independence in society; while creating awareness and driving home the point to inspire research that focuses on eyesight.
Lastly, the Dynamic DIVA’s of Virginia, Inc. with Founder Danielle White that provides resources, conferences and workshops regarding self-worth, job readiness and financial literacy. Our focus is on transition and provided resources are, but not limited to financial assistance, daily living necessities, preparing and providing holiday dinner and referrals to other organizations
